If you look carefully, you will see most of the big-number performance gains are in image processing + physics (games and/or photoshop).
However, in raw number crunching (PCMARK benchmark), you actually take a hit with the optimized PC.
Personally, I think I would definitely like to see a power consumption benchmark.

your observation is right. I should have mentioned that I’m more interested in media rich apps as most content now a days fall into that category and there it performs better…
and BTW, yes power consumption BM would be interesting ..It should already be there , but might not be released to public I guess..
